every year the hedins hold a christmas eve gathering at their house. the past two years it actually hasn't been held on christmas eve, but a little earlier.
i think it's perfect though! we're able to do some of their christmas eve traditions while still doing ours on the real christmas eve. not to mention we have the evening to wrap up the kids christmas presents before they wake up the next day. yeah, we're last minute present wrappers at our house.
the kids all got to decorate this huge gingerbread men. they were so cute and really fun for the kids to decorate.
afterwards the kids got to open their new christmas jammies from grandma and grandpa. they also got some christmas books for each family. it was a fun night.
