i really wanted to grab a "nice" shot of all of my kids together, so i dressed them all up and drove out to the state capital all by myself (tyler was at work). i had convinced myself that this was going to work, that all of my kids would smile and pose just so. but once we got there i quickly remembered why i don't do posed shots of my own kids. i'm their mother and i take pictures of them all of the time, and they typically don't have to pose for those. so i finally sat them down, took a quick shot then packed them back in the car. i also reminded myself to find a photographer for the spring.
this was honestly the best we got. katelyn's face cracks me up.
after i got all the kids in the car i had to grab a quick shot of the capital with the beautiful sunset.
