dinner in the canyon

after our fun day of hiking, we all went up provo canyon to spend an evening around a campfire.  this was probably my favorite night of all.  it was so relaxing being up there all together just enjoying nature while eating good food.

tanner wanted to try climbing a tree, unfortunately for him, he chose the most awkward tree possible.

these two got embarrased when they saw me pointing my camera at them.

tyler was able to enjoy this whole day with us!

such a fun evening together!  my mom ended the night by giving a quick devotional and had all of the moms bare their testimony.

bridal veil falls hike

we thought it would be fun to take all of the kids on a little hike during the reunion.  we needed something that would be easy for all of the kids and strollers, so we chose bridal veil falls.  this little "hike" turned out to be perfect!  there was a paved trail that we could all walk up, so it was definitely easy.  the end of the hike sits right at the bottom of the falls, so there is an area to feed fish and an area where the kids could wade in the water.  this kept every little one happy for a while!

the stroller brigade

proof that brynn was there that day.  we had her hidden under the shade the whole time.

a small group hiked up a short distance.

everyone goes up north

while everyone was in town we stopped by grandpa mayfields to visit and have some delicious lunch (which they so kindly provided).   of course while we were there we all had to go wander the garden.  it was sort of comical having all of those little ones in the garden at the same time.  most of the stuff grandpa had planted had just barely started to pop out of the ground, but it was really hard to tell!  i think they were having a hard time distinguishing between weeds and actual vegetables, so i think some things were stepped on.

thanksgiving point

our second day together we met up at thanksgiving point to try out the new curiosity museum.  we made sure to feed the kiddos before we headed inside though.  they loved eating and running around together.  they probably could have kept playing outside and would have had no idea there was a fun museum across the parking lot if we hadn't told them.

we found a wonderful lady who was able to get a great group shot of all of us!

the museum was a fun one, but boy was it crazy!  there were so many people there it was really hard to keep track of all of the kids.  thank goodness for my mom and dad's extra eyes to help watch out, or we would have been in trouble.

family gatherings

we had a bastian family reunion back in june, and it was so fun!  i love all of these big and little bastians so much.  i have a good, good family!  this year only grandma and grandpa bastian, the bastian family, the juett family, the grover family and the hedin family were able to make it.  we sure miss all those who are too far away to travel to utah.  even with only those families in attendance we still had 17 grandkids there.   it was a full, fun house all of the time.

our first day together was spent getting reacquainted with each other while we hung out and spent a long afternoon at the pool.

this was brynn's first time in her float, and she loved it!

we set up a bunch of tables and chairs in our garage for all of the kids.  it was perfect because there was a enough for all of them, and if they spilled, it really didn't matter.
