Happy Easter

We had such a wonderful Easter. We were able to have a family dinner with everyone. We all met at our apartment and shared some yummy food that we all contributed. Afterwards we topped of our evening by played a rousing game of Ticket to Ride.

March Madness

We've redecorated--at least for the month of March. March madness has begun! Before I got married I never knew that March Madness even existed. Now this is my third year in a row to participate. This past Monday we invited some friends over for a Family Home Evening. Tyler picked the activity for the night. I bet you can guess what the activity was. Yup. We all filled out brackets. That's why we have eight brackets taped up on our wall for everyone to see.
I do have to admit that it is kind of fun though to participate. So if you get the chance this year, fill out a bracket and we can see who does the best!

St. Patty's Day

So it was St. Patrick's Day on March 17th. St. Patrick's Day is ranked as one of my top three favorite holidays. Honestly. It's hard to explain this to other people. Probably because there are so many other holidays out there that rank in their top three. But let me explain my reasoning.
1. You get to wear green. I love the color green and how fun to see almost everybody wearing it on the same day.
2. You can turn all of your food green. Hey, why not? I know green isn't the most appetizing color for, let's say, potaoes or milk, but it still tastes just as good.
3. You can listen to Irish music. It's pretty fun. You should try it sometime.
4. It's a good excuse to have some friends over, which we did. We invited over some friends from our ward (hence the picture). We all made something green and enjoyed a yummy dinner together.
5. And last but not least, it adds some spice to the month of March. March hits right when you are ready for it to stop snowing and are SO ready for the summer. This helps you get over the summer slumps.
There you go. Hopefully, now you can see the wisdom in ranking St. Patrick's Day as one of my top three holidays.

This is Katelyn's favorite position in her car seat. This way she can have an eye on mommy and daddy at all times.

Those eyes

Often, as we're out and about, Katelyn will receive comments about her eyes. That's how this picture came about. I finally decided to take a picture that would do her eyes justice, and I think it does the job. What a cutie!

If at first you don't succeed...

I thought this was going to be a quick picture, but I ended up taking 10 pictures before I actually got one where she was opening her eyes. Luckily she loves taking pictures and was happily smiling the whole time.

Festival of Trees

The last time we updated our blog was back in October. Since it is now March, we will spare you the trouble of hearing about every detail of our lives since then. Instead, we will begin with Christmas...

We met the Hedin family in Salt Lake to see the Festival of Trees. What a neat event! Each one of these trees is made in behalf of someone who has/who had some kind of illness. These trees are then auctioned off and all of the money goes to Primary Children's Hospital. It is a very touching thing to see.

Oh...and we match. Isn't that cute?
