brynn's first month

brynn's first month was a little traumatic for her. she definitely had a hard time adjusting to this new life of hers.  so far she's our hardest, fussiest baby.  it's been interesting getting to know her and her little personality.  this girl loves to be held, swaddled and cuddled.  brynn didn't get her first real bath until she was about one month old.  most of her cord fell off, but there was this tiny bit that refused to fall off.  so for a long time we had to keep giving her sponge baths.  brynn was really sleepy in the beginning, as all newborns are, but that wore off a little as her tummy had trouble digesting her food quickly.  this is where i think most of her fussiness comes from.  she is adored by everyone in the family, especially her siblings.  they love her.  so glad she's our newest addition.

sunday evening game

one of my favorite things is being together as a family on sunday evenings.  it's the perfect time to play a game together as a family.  we sure were lucky this particular sunday to have my mom in town helping our family adjust to a new baby!

tummy time

brynn isn't a big fan of tummy time.  mostly she wants to be held and cuddled, but tummy time must happen sweet girl!

if brynn is nearby, reese is sure to be in the near vicinity.

tanner starts preschool

a friend of mine asked if i wanted to be a part of  a preschool co-op, and of course i said yes!  i have absolutely loved doing preschool with these ladies.  they are all so dedicated and come up with the best activities for the kiddos.  tanner sure loves it and loves seeing his friend twice a week.

tanner is really into making silly faces in pictures.  he rarely takes a normal picture these days.  such a fun kid!

labor day continued

we invited the grovers up to celebrate labor day with us.  since my mom was in town helping with the new baby, we thought it would be fun to get everyone together for a bbq and some swimming.

since i'm so terrible about getting in pictures, i made us all take one together.

we went swimming at the local rec center.  such a fun place to take the kids.

labor day

on labor day we decided to head outside for a bit to let the kids run around.  since katelyn's bike didn't have training wheels on it at the time, we thought it would be perfect for tyler to run around with katelyn.  she was quite nervous, but when she let go of her fear, she was able to ride on her own!  so proud of her for conquering her fear.

reese wanted in on the biking action.

tanner entertained reese in the wagon for a bit.

tanner and reese got a kick out of watching katelyn riding her bike without training wheels.

sibling love

i love seeing my kids play well together.  since having the baby they have been having a great time together.

one morning i found the kids all squished into tanner's bed.  they thought they were pretty funny.
