reese has always loved her binky. right from the start she took that thing in her mouth and held on, even while she slept as a newborn. she has been our only baby who has ever done that. she didn't need any training. now, two years later, she still loves her binkys just as much. we are definitely getting to a point where we need to take them away soon, but i am just not ready! it's so hard taking something away that soothes reese instantly if she is hurt or upset, helps her fall asleep and just generally keeps her extra happy.
i'm thinking when the day comes though, it will be a hard transition for both her and me.

My daughter was the same way. We let her keep her binky until she was 3 (too old! But I felt so bad taking it away!). On her third birthday she put them all inside a build a bear and that became her new comfort item. It worked really well! Good luck when you decide to get off of them!
