for our advent calendar each year, we fill each pocket with a piece of candy for each child and an acitivity that we can do together as a family. it makes for a great december where we have some wonderful moments spent together as a family doing fun things and where we find more time to focus on the real meaning of christmas.
it's a tradition to build a fort and watch a christmas movie together. this year we chose the polar express. reese was only present for the picture then was whisked off to bed.
we visited temple square and saw the lights and the beautiful temple.
when we asked the kids what their favorite part of the night was, they both said it was seeing the Christus.
we visited santa but opted not to get pictures with him since they cost way too much!
katelyn sang in her christmas program and did such a fabulous job. here she is with her teacher.
