we packed a lunch to eat while sitting on the beach and found a spot under a tree for some much needed shade. it made it really easy to watch the airplanes without having to squint.
tyler enjoyed watching as close as he could get. katelyn just enjoyed watching next to her daddy.
i love the look of wildflowers. we had a beautiful view of some the whole time.
katelyn was pretty enthralled with the airplanes until some people with a dog came and sat down next to us. she just stared at the dog like this for a while before finally asking to pet it.
katelyn loved looking at all of the planes until the jets started flying by. she just wanted someone to hold her and have her ears plugged until they left.
these were some of the different planes we saw and some of the different tricks they performed. we will definitely be going back again next year.

We were going to go and see that but then we had a change of plans and didn't! But i know Heidi and David and their family went up to see it after they visited us!

That looks like a cool air show. I've actually never been to one. It also looks like you had a great time at home. I can't believe the summer's over (pretty much). We will be back in a little over a week and we can't wait to see everyone. I'm sure your families enjoyed your visit to the fullest. I went water skiing a couple weeks ago, and it wasn't worth the thrill. It was a little too soon after having a baby.
Air shows are awesome! What a party! Our Ryan would've loved to see all of the planes!
Dave and I are dying to know if you guys are going to name this baby "Champion" as Tyler was hoping many years ago...

Yes, I agree with you--keeping up with blogs in the summer is harder. :)
