coloring

i love these pictures so much.  if you were to ask reese what her everyday life looked like, these pictures would sum it up perfectly.  reese in her princess pajamas with her messy hair.  her  paci in her mouth with her blanket by her side while coloring.  that's our reesie girl!

brynn absolutely loves being outside.  lucky for her, we are outside constantly in the summer.  since she was still crawling in the summer, she typically ended up outside in just a diaper.  the ground was so dirtly that no matter how hard i tried, she would always end up with dirty, black knees, a dirty bum, face and hands.  so i solved that by taking her clothes off and putting on some of my old socks to protect her knees from scratches and the dirt.  win!

a visit from sarah

my sister sarah was in town visiting in-laws, so we were able to spend a day with her.  what a treat!  i don't get to see my siblings often enough.  one of my favorite part of seeing my siblings is seeing their kids again (or for the first time).  it always amazes me how much they change and grow up in such a short time.  my sister had also had a new baby i hadn't met yet.  he was a very calm little thing that loved to laugh.  a quick, fun visit!

the fair

after the reunion we headed over to the weber county fair.  this certainly isn't a great, big fair, but it is perfect for our kiddos.  my favorite part is that it isn't so giant that you feel like you have to stay forever to see it all, specially when it is so hot outside. 

this year there were some princesses the kids wanted to say hello to and take a picture with.  we found aurora, anna and elsa.

we found the feeding area again.  the kids always love feeding those crazy goats.

family reunion

we went to a hurst family reunion this summer.  it's always fun to catch up with family you haven't seen in a while.  

 katelyn spent most of her time anxiously awaiting the prize giveaways. seriously, she almost couldn't stand the wait and was so excited when her name was called!

reese ended up getting a giant goose egg on her head.  it's hard to tell in this picture, but it's there.  she was climbing up to grab a cookie, lost her balance and slammed her head right into the table.  it was awful.

brynn loved showing off her new clapping skills and showing off her lovely socks i forced her to wear all summer to protect her knees and pants.

boating

the next morning, i drove back down to the campsite to go boating with everyone.  i really do enjoy boating, even if i don't get in the freezing cold water!  the kids mainly enjoy the ride and hopping in the water once the boat is stopped.

brynn wasn't the biggest fan of the life jacket, but she tolerated it.

brynn was one happy little lady once we were back on land.  we tried to so hard to keep the sand off of her face, but it was nearly impossible.  she probably ate about a bucket full.

camping

grandma and grandpa hedin purchased a camping trailor this summer that they wanted to put to good use.  they invited anyone who was avaiable to come camping with them, so we joined them.  well, when i say we i actually mean tyler, katelyn and tanner joined them.  we were all there for the evening enjoying the beautiful weather and the good food, but i left at nightfall to take the two little ones home to sleep in their own beds.

the kids were beyond excited to help out with the tent.

brynn loved wandering around in her homemade knee pads.  these have been necessary all summer since we are outside so much and she was still crawling.
